Architectural
Holograms and lenticular photographs have been widely used in architecture. The example shown here is in Japan. A holographic diffraction grating has been laminated to the front windows of a glass atrium at the entrance to a new development in the Roppongi Hills development district of Tokyo.

The holographic film creates chromatic distortions and double imaging of the exterior as seen from inside and of the interior as seen from the outside. The hologram provides anonymity to both passers-by and building occupants yet retains a feeling of openness and welcome with the use of space and light.
